More Snow

It snowed here earlier this week, Monday was an awesome powder day. I have been having a lot of fun shooting with the lomo when I get uo in the hill. I hope I will have a cool body of work by the end of the season.

Life Skills

I photographed a middle school "life skills" class today otherwise known as home ec. It was fun. Kids making beanies for cancer patients I want to learn how to make knit caps.

Old Stuff

So I didn't have that exciting of a week I think I shot some food, a few basketball games, and a couple portraits. I did get five rolls of film processed though. These are some of the photos that were on the rolls, they are from a camping trip this summer it was a good trip Ira brought up his ATV's. Yesterday I snowshoed up to lionshead to try to get a shot of Minturn, it was a disaster but the hike was nice...my body is sore and I don't really have a cover photo for the trail, and I might have to spend my day off this afternoon shooting more pictures for the Minturn story...but the hike was nice...at least thats what I keep telling myself!

Christian Basketball

I have always wanted to use this Virgin Mary thing in a photo but have yet to make a great photo of it yet.


Today I shot high school basketball I get tired of making the same images all the time. When I get a good action shot I like to try and mix it up throw on my wide angle, stand in the crowd and stuff. It doesn't always work out but it gets me through the games.

Stuck in Vail

A lot of people were stranded in Vail last night. The I 70 passed closed around two o'clock yesterday leaving a ton of people stuck in Vail. Sometimes I feel stuck too...the Glenwood Post Independent is hiring a photographer it is tempting but I'm not sure if I would like it there or not...I sent some photos to the Rocky Mountain News today I think they might use them...we shall see though I don't want to get my hopes up.

The Analog Kid

Thats right mentioned in a few posts ago...here are some photos from the powder day at Beaver Creek earlier this week on Monday...I shot these with a lomo...film! I think I will bring it out again it was fun to shoot with and I kinda like a couple of these images...hope you do to!

Busy day today, I had one of my photographers stuck in Wolf Creek for the last three days, my other photographers car broke down, and the other called in and took a personal day. So I had a really busy day 13 hours and counting...

First stop 10am assignment in Gypsum...shop class...

Vivitar

I got my new flash in the mail today a Vivitar 285, this thing puts out a lot of light! I made this self portrait by bouncing the flash off of the wall. Rode at Beaver Creek today it was a powder day, shot a couple rolls of film with the lomo...thats right analog! ...maybe I will get the film processed one day.
